Do I really trust God to bring healing and peace into my life when I am going through challenging times in my marriage? Do I know how to respect my husband? Do I know how to love my wife? Do I know how to show unconditional love like Christ showed to me when I am hurting? How can we put together a marriage agreement in the areas that we disagree on? These are some difficult questions that I have to ask myself when I am hurting. Before, I walked out when the difficulties got unbearable. Was I really trusting God or did I allow my flesh to say, "I've had enough and I can't deal with this anymore!" Many of us choose the later statement and we walk away from something that can be so beautiful; if only we would allow God to show up big in us and in our situations. He can do that you know, He can show us what His love at the cross was all about. Hebrews 12:2 says, "looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame.... Surely, we can endure some difficulty during seasons of our lives knowing that all things work together for good. Keep your faith and confidence in Christ and keep hope alive in your marriage!
